In 2008, Desirée Williamson joined Communication Works. Desirée designs and facilitates workshops for business organisations on all aspects of communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Desirée believes that the clear communication of an organisation's key messages, within a sound ethical framework, builds positive relationships and goodwill with stakeholders, and enhances the organisation's image, reputation and credibility.

Her seminars use creative and innovative techniques to develop participants' oral presentation, written, interpersonal and media management skills. Her motivation is to assist management and staff to achieve tangible improvements that result in a positive workplace communication climate and build credibility in the marketplace.

Desirée lectured in communication at the School of Business at the Christchurch College of Education and the University of Canterbury from 1994-2007 and has specialist qualifications in both English as a Second Language, and public speaking.

As a professional wordsmith, Desirée has been working with the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 2006, writing study material, and designing and facilitating workshops for the Communicate Effectively and Ethics components of its Professional Competency Programme. Desiree has extensive experience teaching English for academic and professional purposes in Japan, Britain and New Zealand and is a presenter on the IPENZ (Institute of Professional Engineers) Continuing Professional Development Programme, delivering Business English for International Professionals, a new course on offer during 2011.

She also writes copy for websites, newsletters and occasionally produces a blog for Communication Works.  Desirée is available as a corporate trainer, consultant or conference speaker and is an accredited Belbin facilitator.
